王雅婷2021年加入清華大學醫學院任獨立pi，博士生導師。王雅婷博士畢業于芝加哥大學，后在華盛頓大學（washington university in st. louis）進行了抗感染免疫方向的博士后研究。

description:yating wang laboratory at tsinghua university medical school studies immune response to bacterial/viral pathogens. we currently are interested in autophagy pathway and understanding how it regulates response to different infections. our main tools include animal models and cell culture system, as well as crispr/cas9 screens. the goal of our work is to understand protective immunity against pathogens. we are seeking enthusiastic postdoctoral applicants with a strong publication record and interest in pursuing one or more of the projects below.

examples of ongoing projects in the lab:

1)the laboratory uses animal models to study protective immunity against bacterial/viral pathogens and microbial pathogenesis. these include models of mycobacterium tuberculosis, staphylococcus aureus, listeria monocytogenes, influenza, herpesvirus infection.

2)we are interested in how autophagy genes regulate aspects of innate immunity and inflammation.

3)the laboratory performs whole-genome crispr/cas9 screens to identify regulators of innate immune pathways.

4)we have a goal of developing vaccines and therapeutics to treat infectious diseases, such as mycobacterium tuberculosis and staphylococcus aureus.

qualifications:

1)candidates should have or are expected to have a ph.d., m.d, or equivalent degree in immunology, microbiology, cell biology or related fields. prior experience in working with bacteria/viruses and animals is preferred.

2)a strong record that includes first-author publications is preferred.

3)experience with cell culture, pcr, qrt-pcr, molecular biology, flow cytometry, mouse studies and/or molecular microbiology is preferred.

4)successful postdoctoral candidates are expected to have scientific rigor and careful records, to demonstrate a strong interest of science, to have critical thinking, and to be a good team-worker.
