1. audio recording - provide audio support for events in the main auditorium and the performance theatre. these events include choral, orchestral chamber music and individual recitals. such support will require microphones placement, ensuring safe cabling, sound engineering and transfer to other media as required. the appointee will assist is the placement and striking of sets and quality control of recording;

2. administrative - in conjunction with programme director,determine the long term technical needs for the division; assist in the formulation of and execution in the planning to accomplish said tasks; archiving of appropriate media in the library and manage/delegate duplication order requests, interactions with the main office;

3. supervisory and instructional liaison -in conjunction with the programme director support the involvement of students in audio related activities; train students in professional recording techniques and skills; regularly review the work of students and ensure that recordings are distributed in a timely manner to clients;

4. new media - assist in the creation and implementation of new media distribution and generate documentation to educate faculty and staff on new media outlets;

5. video recording – support other staff in making recording through traditional and vr means.
